Well I'm being brave and leaving a comment on this subject that's normally just a topic of humour, unless you're speaking to your natural therapist of course :) Junk in, junk out, as the programmers say :) Good on you for a light-hearted but very thought provoking post on a very important topic - how your body cleanses itself, and what we do to make it's job harder (so to speak :) )

Hi Amy-
Thanks for commenting...

If you love the food, eat it! Just don't use it as a crutch for when things go bad. Thai is my favorite food and generally speaking... it's very healthy. Fresh veggies with protein sources stir-fried. Just because you eat out, doesn't make it "bad". Eat it when you feel good. :)

Remember... the worst part of the emotional eating part os the emotional stuff behind it! Stop feeling guilty for it and just move on... stuff happens... it's ok! Give yourself permission to feel bad sometimes and then make the decision to stand up straight, put a smile on your face and move on. You can do it without food. You will feel even better for it.
Start imagining it happening already... See yourself gaining control of your emotions and walking by the food. Then give yourself time and you will be doing it without even thinking about it.
All the best,
Keri

Kari,
Thank you for your heart felt piece. It really hit home for me personally. I'm having one of those days. I'm on a diet and everytime something bad happens I turn to my love, FOOD. Thank goodness the food baby hasn't grown too much but still I need to search for other ways to stray away from my favorite temptation, chocolate and Thai food. For a mere moment it takes away all my days negativity and quick as a wink the guilt steps in. I'm going to really start to work on improving my eating habits and quick trying to excuse my emotional eating outburst and point the blame on everyone and thing but myself.
Sincerely,
Amy Samuelsohn

I know walking on the streets isn't as beautiful, but I have started doing that too. I can take Robbie in the pram on the street, but not the beach.

Let go and just do it! :)

Keri, I'm so envious of you living near the beach. Two weeks in Byron Bay for me was amazing - walking everyday on the beach - now to work out how to make it a permanent change :)
