It sounds too good to be true I know. But the thing is… I have been seeing some of my friends take this and the results are blowing me away.

That said… I’m a believer in testing things out and I would love some other people to help test it out too.

The Challenge of Ketogenic Diet

The challenge of achieving a state of ketosis in the body is following the strict diet and exercise regime to get there. Hugh has been in the fat loss, performance and wellness industry for years. He knows the hardship that people have in sticking to a “diet” to reach the results they want to achieve for your optimal performance. And I’m the typical on and off diet person that struggles with addictions to sugar, etc. So I’m pretty excited about giving this experiment a go. Taking this supplement is a cheat way of getting into a state of Ketosis to allow people to burn fat.

When we first heard about this product, it sparked my curiosity. Hey, I’m a human… take a drink and lose fat easily? Yup… sign me up.

At the same time… I’ve been in the health industry and done enough paying attention to my body to know not to trust everything at face value… and I’m usually pretty skeptical about “miracle” pills.

I’ve gotten to the point where I like to listen to my body and give it what it needs… we eat a pretty healthy whole food diet, but after a couple really challenging years on my body, I have gained a lot of weight, even if I did “the right thing”. Finally this year, my body stopped the constant gain, which is exciting, but has still held onto the weight.

A lifetime ago, I was on a ketosis diet, but struggled with it. It’s hard to get yourself into ketosis through diet alone. But I’ve always heard that there are so many great benefits to being in ketosis, so this really sparked my interest.

And hey… if something is going to help me curb my sugar cravings and feel my best, but not have any horrible chemicals, hidden sugars, etc… I’m in.

The other part of taking this product that really sparks Hugh’s interest is the gains in performance for active people. When you hit a plateau in your training it can be so frustrating. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a (legal) product to help you train more effectively so that you push through those plateaus, getting better results in your training. Whether it’s cardio, Crossfit, gymnastics, mountain biking, etc… Wanna do it even better? This is also part of the experiment.
So, if this is going to help us burn fat, give us more energy, and increase our performance, we are open to giving it a go. But, we would love to see how it works for others too.

  1. Anthropometrics. Measuring your body.

– Take photos of your body from front, back and both sides with minimal clothes on…

– Measuring your waist, hips, chest, thigh and/or bodyfat using calipers or bio-impedance scales…OR

5. Optional

– Measure your base level of fitness

If your goal is athletic performance, you simply must do this. If you want an improvement in your daily health and performance, choose as many as you wish depending on your exercise experience and fitness level:

  1. a) Time to complete 1km (walk, jog, run)
  2. b) Time to swim 50m
  3. c) 20 metre running beep test.
  4. d) Number of pushups, chinups, air squats with good technique until fatigue
  5. e) Max Strength 1RM Deadlift, Squat, Bench Press, Chin Up
  6. f) Sports specific test you would normally do, that you can measure6. Optional

Measure the amount of ketones in your blood (purchase ketone testing strips from Amazon.com or similar)

Do this before and after taking the supplement, or before and after the experiment.

Higher levels of ketones indicate your fat burning potential. A test for people keen to see what this does inside their body.

6. Re-measure and re-test your body

Preferably use the same health professional, person or DEXA scan who did it at the start.

7. Share your results
