I’m Tidying up and came across this bag
I’m Tidying up and came across this bag that Sam (my 6yo) INSISTED he get from my gram when she passed away.
It was by the door when we left and I didn’t know it was what he had chosen from Gram so I didn’t bring it with us. OMG the sobbing tears fell.
Thankfully my cousin found it again later for him. In it was a beautiful little pocket mirror too that he had chosen.
I hold this bag today… thinking of my gram and the kind of woman she was to have this beautiful toiletry bag with her initials embroidered onto it.
I think of her toiletries in here.
How she would have fumbled through looking for just the cream or makeup she was looking for.
All of the best quality.
All feeling amazing for her to adorn herself with as she got herself ready to be presented to the world.
I think of her petite beautiful hands.
All the wrinkles of her sweet hands.
Hands that I have held… that have soothed me time and time again.
Hands that I have held to escort her through crowds time and time again.
Hands that loved to write with her beautiful green pens.
Hands that were always so soft to touch.
Today… At this moment I feel so grateful for Sam making a big deal to get this bag.
I sit here thinking about and feeling my gram and her incredible Empress energy.
I sit here visioning and feeling into continuing to strive to be like my grandma….
In my own way to emanate all the incredible things, she taught me about life.
To my live life with half as much impact, grace and elegance would mean I lived an incredible life and without a doubt helped millions of others to do the same.
Gram… I miss you in presence and I’m so grateful you are here with me in spirit.
I love you.
